September 5, 2019 - Connect&GO is pleased to announce three strategic appointments within its executive committee. Mathieu Dupuis has stepped in as Vice President of Products & Technology and François-Pierre Moffet has filled the role of Chief Operating Officer. According to Dominic Gagnon, Co-Founder of Connect&GO, “In order to deliver on our growth plan for the next few years, we needed a world-class executive committee with a proven capacity for strategic thinking. With the addition of these three leaders, everything is in place for us to reach our objectives.”

Mathieu Dupuis, a leader in Canada’s ticketing industry.

Having graduated in 2000 with a degree in computer science from UQAM, Mathieu Dupuis started his career as a programmer for Théâtre St-Denis. After six years, Mathieu decided to create his own ticketing company. Billetterie Première Loge Inc. soon took its place in the Canadian entertainment industry. In 2016, Ticketpro acquired Première Loge and Mathieu was promoted to President of the company. During his four years there, Mathieu helped Ticketpro to become the largest independent ticketing company in Quebec with millions of tickets sold each year.

“After close to 20 years as an entrepreneur and president of a ticketing company, I made the decision to join an ambitious company with international goals,” says Mathieu Dupuis.

Francois-Pierre Moffet, a world-class COO.

With a degree in computer engineering (1997) and a master’s in engineering management from l’Université de Sherbrooke (2007), François-Pierre Moffet started his career at CAE, where he climbed up the ranks from Software Developer to Director of Learning Solutions between 2002 and 2012. After a brief stint at SNC Lavalin as Director of Project Management, he spent four years as a project manager and product consultant for organizations in the mobile communications, finance and insurance industries. During this period, he also played an important role on the council for Agile Montréal.

In 2017, François-Pierre rejoined the ranks of Montreal start-ups as Chief Operating Officer for Sofdesk. Working closely with the president of the company, he put various management processes in place, and led a highly skilled executive team that continues to drive the company today.

“I felt that I had accomplished what I needed to at Sofdesk and the Connect&GO offer came at the right time. I was motivated by the challenge and the opportunity this role provides as I join the team as partner and COO,” says François-Pierre Moffet.

More hiring to come

Following the acquisition of Dator Inc. last June, the Montreal-based company now has an office in Repentigny, as well as close to 20 new developers and technologists on its team. In the coming months, the company will be hiring for many roles in its various offices as it continues to grow across all departments. In addition to these two strategic new hires, the company is proud to announce the promotion of Denis Gallico, one of the first employees at Connect&GO, to the position of Director of Permanent Installations. The company also welcomes the arrival of Marc-André Dubé (previous software architect at Les Sommets) to take on the role of Sales Engineer and the return of Arthur Evenard (skilled experience developer and previous Connect&GO employee) to the role of Tech Team Leader.
