Connecting brands at North America’s biggest interactive conference. After a winning deployment at last year’s Super Bowl 50, Connect&GO is set to take on another major U.S. event next month. South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas is the biggest interactive entertainment industry conference in North America. With over 50,000 registered attendees (and over 150,000 participants at surrounding exhibits and parties) the annual conglomerate of music, film and interactive media conferences has grown steadily since its launch 30 years ago.
Connect&GO’s involvement with SXSW this March marks a milestone for the company. With multiple RFID activations planned, including access control for over 60,000 people at a product launch for a major music streaming service provider, plans to co-host a party at the Quebec Sugar Shack and participation in a panel discussion with C2 Montreal, SXSW is an exciting opportunity for Connect&GO to champion Montreal, and its booming tech community, within the global tech sector.
“Just being at SXSW is an experience, but being involved on so many levels this year, activating, hosting, speaking, we’re actually going to be a part of creating the experience people have there. The event industry knows about us already, but this is an exciting opportunity for us to show the tech space what Montreal can do.” – Anthony Palermo, Connect&GO CEO
Montreal for President 2020 On Monday March 13th, Connect&GO will co-host a major party with Quebec’s own Beachclub at the Quebec Sugar Shack, part of Planète Québec’s technology delegation at SXSW, which aims to feature Quebec businesses. The official name for the party is “Montreal for President 2020” and Connect&GO will provide RFID access control, cashless payments and thematic activations while Beachclub-selected DJs will provide electrifying music for the 2,000-person bash.
Part of the SXSW Conference As a partner of Planète Québec, Connect&GO will showcase its products and services at the Quebec mission’s tradeshow booth and CEO, Anthony Palermo, will speak on a panel entitled “Future of Creation and Audience Engagement”, hosted by C2 Montreal, on Monday March 13th.
More to come In addition to its multi-faceted participation at SXSW 2017, Connect&GO is set to have its busiest year yet with a number of major projects signed for 2017, including: Montreal’s Formula 1, the Mtl 375th celebrations and Mondiale de la Bière as well as Moogfest in North Carolina, Tortuga Music Festival in Florida and the Taste of Atlanta Food Festival in Georgia, among others.
